What I’ve heard lately from the tech elite is that social networking sources are an infallible source of real time info. However, my thought is that this technology is ripe for major manipulation. Everything is now delivered digitally. Nothing is real.
It’s all reproductions, current or not. Anybody remember a little radio broadcast that caused a panic amongst the simple folk listening, by way of the latest technology, to Orson Welles reading "War of The Worlds"?
If you listen to the TWITS, Leo’s geeks of the upper crust, one might think every Twitter storm is factual. Talk about asleep at the wheel. It’s like Steve Jobs and the deafening of a generation with ear buds and MP3 compression, and throw in iTunes to make it all irresistible.
So I ask you, boon or bust? Is all this adoration of social networking appropriate?

It is utterly ridiculous. These kids are all gonna have carpal tunnel syndrome to say the very least. Most will also have early problems with their eyesite and those are just the physical problems! Mentally I think it is a disaster in the making. The worst is anything people own that has “i” in it, fun now, but in the NOT so distant future it will be a REAL mess.
