Excerpts from a response to an email from Jack Clark:
"Jack, love you. Still I won’t go to i-tunes for you. Open source = free speech, civil rights and possibly an improvement in the way humans treat humans, and so forth.
i-anything and i-everything is repulsive to me ever since the charismatic, actually viral, Steve Jobs , threw in with the Fraunhofer bunch (remember the Third Reich?!) and the Moving Picture Experts Group, with only one goal in mind. THAT GOAL BEING THE DISTRIBUTION OF KNOCK-OFFS (mp3s of real music), no matter the consequences, PROFIT ABOVE ALL.
Without Maja Jobs there would have been no deafening of a generation by ear buds and mp3. The i-man allowed no access to lossless feeds. Emotionless, sterile mp3 was all that was available to the music hungry youngsters. Forget the Walkman, t0o big, not enough, crummy cassettes. And forget headphones, just stick it in their ears.
See I don’t do i-stuff, but I’ll darn sure vote for you on Podcast Alley".
Take care, be well,
Fred
