The big flakes had just started floating down as I turned off the sidewalk and proceeded along the gangway to the rear of the building. It was a peaceful, serene moment as I approached the gate designating the line between ‘it’s a free country’ and ‘none of your business’. Conditions favorable to entertaining a stray thought.
And so it was, I found myself wondering about the snow and the rain. Many references to ‘rain’ in the blues and tear jerker country or western songs, but comparatively few expressions of woe, oh no, or ‘where did she go’ in a snow song. And would you believe, Tracey and I had just the the night before heard Joanie Pallatto & Bradley Parker-Sparrow doing their “Snow Blues” live, at Katerina’s. It was so good I found myself the next day, in a rare moment of tranquility, as I’ve stated, wondering about snow and rain.

I wish I’d been at Katerina’s. I’ve heard Joanie a couple of times and she’s great!
Hey Fred! Thanks for posting “Snow Blues” – scary to hear an improv, glad it worked!
